woven geotextile
woven geotextile
Product details
Product Introduction
Woven fabric is made from polypropylene flat filaments as raw material and consists of two sets of parallel yarns (or flat filaments). One set runs along the longitudinal direction of the loom (the direction in which the fabric advances) and is called the warp yarn; the other set is arranged transversely and is called the weft yarn. Using different weaving equipment and processes, the warp and weft yarns are interlaced to form a fabric. It can be woven into different thicknesses and densities according to different application scopes. Generally, woven geotextiles are relatively thin and have tensile strength in both longitudinal and transverse directions (with longitudinal strength greater than transverse strength), exhibiting excellent stability.

Performance Characteristics

  1. Weight range: 90–400 g/m² (grams per square meter);
  2. Width range: 1–6 m (meters);
  3. Color: Customizable (mainly black and white).

Product Features

Light weight, high strength, low elongation, good integrity, convenient construction, and excellent reinforcement performance.

Application Purposes

  1. Reinforcement: It can stably restrict the displacement of engineering structures during long-term use and transfer or distribute local stress in soil to a larger area.
  2. Separation: Woven fabric separates different geotechnical structural materials to form a stable interface, allowing each material to exert its unique properties and overall function as required.
  3. Drainage and Filtration: It allows water to pass through while preventing the loss of sand particles. When used for drainage, placing woven fabric in soil with poor water permeability can achieve the effect of "slow water pumping" and quickly drain water along the fabric.
  4. Tension Diaphragm: When used together with geomembranes between two materials with different pressures, it can act as a tension diaphragm.
  5. Barrier Function: Placing woven fabric horizontally in channels with flowing liquids containing suspended particles can block fine mud particles while allowing liquids to pass through.
  6. Weed Control Function.

Applicable Fields

  • Water Conservancy Engineering: Standard-reaching projects for sea dikes, river dikes, and river banks; dike protection projects, water diversion and irrigation projects; reservoir seepage prevention and danger-removing reinforcement projects; reclamation projects; flexible mattresses; geotextile sand-filled bags and grouting bags; flood prevention and emergency rescue.
  • Highway Engineering: Soft foundation reinforcement; slope protection; pavement anti-reflective cracking structural layers; drainage systems; green isolation belts.
  • Railway Engineering: Railway subgrade bed reinforcement projects; railway subgrade slope overlay; tunnel lining waterproofing and drainage projects.
  • Power Plant Engineering: Nuclear power plant foundation projects; thermal power plant ash dam projects; hydropower station projects.
  • Agricultural Planting: Weed control in orchards and farms.
